PART I CONCLUSION
There are many more inspirations which lead to the making of this work and many more options to continue. We have only classified it according to the taxonomy system, but what would happen if it would get its own class within the tree? Considering that the phish does not have the same appearance as the anglerfish. In fact, it doesn't have a physical appearance at all yet. We also don't know completely what the phish is capable of, on its own, but also in relation to my practice. I will explore this further in the second part of this research. I will do so by looking more into the biological aspect, the history of the word Phishing and I also want to explore the digital version of the Phish more in depth. Therefore I will contact Elmer about his research about phishing. To see if in the end I can create a visual for the Phish.
FISH OR PHISH? PART II
Thank you for reading and imagining your way to the *for now* end of this document. The concept of f/ph-ishing has become my way to look at my art practice and to create an artist catalogue. By categorising my older works into this system it became easier for me to understand what I am doing as an artist. By making this document I learned to answer the questions I ask myself. Whilst before, I would only answer questions by asking more questions. My artistic practice has gained its own genre within the scene because I connected it to the concept of fish and phish. I found a part of my studio through this methodical way of working. I was allowed to look at my surroundings in an artistic way and to use this input to create a whole new meaning. In the end, the concept of the Phish takes over my role as a performer, this creates new opportunities as my body is no longer a necessary part of this project.
As for the practices, when you look at this research document there are for me only two practices that come close to what I work with, honours and autonomous.
